Thanked: 0The picture with the blue is before I did anything so I may have purchased a blade that had already lost the temper. I did confirm that the autoclave I used only gets to a max 300 degrees. Enough to kill anything but shouldn't ruin the blade. Thanks again everyone for your input. I've learned a lot

Thanked: 1936Don't count that blade out yet. The only way you will know is honing it and shaving with it. I've purchased a couple blades before that looked like they had some "rainbow" colors to them and they turned out to be good shavers.
