    Picked up a couple of Frederick Reynolds blades off the 'Bay for a pittance. They need work though. For the restorers here, are these blades usable?

    If that chip on the better one doesn't have a crack coming up off of it .... can't be sure from the photo ... it would be alright if there is no crack. The other has a lot of uneven wear. So IMO you could make a shaver out of either but it would be more work than I would want to do.
    Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

    Ditto. The first one looks the better option. Hopefully it's not cracked at that chip.

    Those are definately salvageable, its going to take a little elbow grease. Heres a before and after, and it shaves excellent!!!
