    Default Nickel rod anyone?

I was wondering if anybody had any nickel rod sources other than the heirem..? place and Texas knife supply. Both have been out for several days and the heirem.. place apparently charges 7.75 just for shipping. Does anybody know of anywhere else? I have called everywhere in St Louis, hardware stores, hobby shops, home depot, etc. It's amazing how hard this stuff is to find.

Otherwise, if someone has some to spare maybe I could buy a rod and a dozen matching friction washers? Please let me know, I would really appreciate any responses!!

    Thanks

I actually emailed texas knife 2 days ago and they said they would have more within a week. Turns out it only took 2 days. They have some now.

I highly recommend K&G (Knife and Gun Finishing Supplies). They have 1/16 x 12" rods for 95 cents each. I bought three and the total with first class shipping ($2.56) came to $6.36 and they shipped the same day. Also, they don't have a minimum order. I telephoned my order and used a credit card. Their phone number isn't listed on the website, but I located it elsewhere. It is 928-537-8877. I hope this helps.

    Regards - Walt

You can always check out Sheffield Knife Supply, too. I've found they (usually) have the biggest selection. K&G usually gives the best service.
