    Default Modified Desert Ironwood scales

What'll y'all allow on this one?

I only did it on one side in keeping with some of the traditional stuff (translation ~ I was lazy) It's actually scale set number 5 on my web site, so if you snag them before I change the price, you got a decent deal...

That is very beautiful. Very classy and subtle pin inlay design, I love it. Is it silver?

I am surprised that no one has commented yet. I hope that is because the post was marked off as read while it was still new and no one saw it or their beauty left everyone speechless .

I figured nobody liked them. That happens once in a while. Can't get it right all the time

The small pins are copper wire. The kind used for making the wire hanger stuff you would use on the back of a painting for the wall. The other pin is something I make. It is 1/8 inch diameter with other wire epoxied to the inside walls. You can use different color epoxy to make the pins stand out. With 1/8, it's a little harder.

Here are some bigger ones. When I did these, Blade Magazine did an article on me and my pins. Back then, they were innovative. Now, everyone who makes knives does it. That's kinda cool.

Well, here's the truth. I think your work is awesome and I'm sometimes simply dumbfounded at the beauty, the elegant simplicity of it. I don't want to just sit here and gush, but that's all I'd be doing. You might like it, but I'd feel pretty silly.
I'll go back to sitting here drooling now.

When it comes to putting out a product of your creative juices, the best praise is someone willing to pay top dollar for it. The worst is dead silence. Everything else, including criticism and praise, fall in between.

The ooh's and ah's may not sound like much but they are encouraging. Even criticism has a positive influence. Sometimes, that is all that's needed to get the "artist" motivated for the next project.

Had I not received any comments on the violin, I would not make the Strat or the box, or the strop, etc. (Don't know if this is a good thing, but I like it ) Would have figured there is no interest.

I don't think Bill is at that stage of his art where he won't go on without feedback, but feedback is important.

    Especially honest feedback.

BTW, Bill I was reading your second post when my 8 year old son walked up. His reaction was "Wow!, that's a beautiful knife!" When I told him that you made it, he was beside himself. You create gorgeous works of art that anyone can instantly recognize as special. I love what you do and am inspired by it.

I stole these scales for $45 . Could not resist, they are beautiful.

Bill, let me know if you want more funds for Shipping to Canada. $2 seems low unless you can disguise them as a very thick letter .
