Where to buy 6" buffalo horn scales
I've been looking all over for some 1/8" thick pieces of buffalo horn to use for scales, but all I can find are 5" long pieces. I've noticed alot of buffalo horn scaled razors guys make seem to have a bit shorter design. Are most guys just using 5" long pieces and making it work, or is there somewhere to get 6". I've tried Texas Knife supply, masecraft and the usual others. I don't wantto buy large pieces and cut them down to the proper thickness, I'd like them 1/8" thick to start with.
Also, what do you guys use to seal them after making the scales?
Thanks

If you search Alibaba.com for horn blanks, there are a couple in India I believe. They're the guys the knife suppliers here usually use, they should be able to make custom sizes.

I'm in England, but if it helps, I get mine HERE.
Really good customer service & very helpful.
They're thicker than you wanted, but you can get a good few scales from each slab!
