    Smile Oh Hooray!

This is my favorite kind of day to visit the forums, with all kinda great pics of beautiful blades in handsome scales. No exception here, nicely done, PapaBull.

Wow that really looks great. That wood and the blade size really go together. Great job.

If Clarman happens to change his mind, consider me next in line. Nice work!

That's a good example of the price one can expect to pay for a tiny piece of snakewood. $20.00 for a 5 inch piece. Unfortunately, that's about 1/2" short of what's needed for a 5/8 razor and about an inch short of what's needed for a 7/8 or 8/8 razor. That's the big problem with buying knife handle blanks. They're almost always too short (5 inches).

It looks like the full version is out. how about combining it with another piece of material lets say in the middle or the ends like the nice piece that Bill did with the abalone? the snakewood has beautiful grain it almost looks like tiger stripes

They don't sell them bigger than 5"?? Wonder why?
