Feedback on restore wanted
This was my first time working with acrylic. This DD was one I posted about earlier with a question about blueing the tang. The discussion led to not only blueing the tang and spine, but coloring in the stamping on the tang. I'll take any constructive feedback on how I did on this one. I'm not looking to sell it, just want to do the best job I can.
TIA

I've done wood scales before, but this is my first time with acrylic. I appreciate the praise. Don't be shy. I know some of you sell these for a living. What would you do differently?

Thanked: 2591for me the upper curve is not even unless that is by design.
I find that a half round file works wonders when you want to make an even curve and have to do it by hand.Stefan

I traced the outline from another scale onto the acrylic with a sharpie, then cut through the line with a scroll saw. Taped the 2 pieces together, then took them to a drum sander to remove the line.

Wow, it looks great! Good job, and the scales work really well with the blade.
Awesome!
