    That is why many of us wish they wouldn't bother with it. Any razor I have with gold wash I just resign myself that it is going to be getting thin in some spots and will disappear in others. Seems to me the older ones had a better wash on them but maybe I'm just being nostalgic. None of it seems to last 100% if you use and handle them.
    Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

    Exactly. To be honest, this is my first razor and before it even arrived at my door I knew the gold wouldn't last long. I'm surprised the gold on the spine has held up so well with all the practice stropping I've been doing.
