    Default Help for Newbie Needed -- Rusty New Razor

    Hi Guys,

    I've been pursuing this hobby for a year or more now (so not a complete newbie) but new to restoration.

    I have a new Thiers-Issard razor that I put away wet (after cutting myself ) and now it has a bit of staining/rust on the blade.

    Don't know how to proceed. Would be willing to have someone with more experience than I remove said rust and staining ...

    Ideas?

    Thumbs up You Can Do It

    Try going at it with some metal polish. Maas is recommended as the best. Just be sure to stay clear of the engraving or you might take it off too. It's pretty easy actually.
