    Default Tarnish remover

Who knows of a good tarnish remover that wont harm the etch in a blade . If I buff green compound it will buff out the etching. There has to be a good metal polish that can be hand rubbed to remove the black tarnish. thank you kellyw

Kelly, I don't know of any buffing that will not take some of the etch. Semichrome, Wenol, Flitz and Maas are all metal polishes that you can use on a paper towel. There others as well. They will get some if not all of it and won't harm the etch. They will take goldwash off right now though so don't use them on that.
Be careful how you treat people on your way up, you may meet them again on your way back down.

There is no miracle product that will leave the gold or other wash completely intact while removing tarnish, oxidation or other kind of blemishes. You will either have to live with it or decide to use a polish like Maas and very gently try to rub and clean some tarnish way. But it will slowly fade some of the etching the more you use any product, gold wash being the worst.

Or you can send all your tarnished blades to me and I will love them, and hug them, and shave with them, and... ok shutting up now
