Seems like the CA might do the trick... Looking forward to pics.
As for attachments, can you use the manage attachments button below and pull something from your iphone? Otherwise, I'd upload to photobucket or something like that, then use the link they give you to post an image. That's about the best I can offer.

two questions...
First off, nice work on the scales!
I am looking into getting a tumbler and was wondering if anyone had any recommendations as to which is best for this kind of thing? I am a bit worried about the noise it will make because I live in an apt with neighbors
and my landlord lives under me. Also, can you put more than one blade in at once?
And secondly, what kind of glue did you use to seal the wedge
because it looks seamless and tight!?

Thanks,

Thanks,
I bonded the wedge with epoxy, and then ground it down flush with the scales, and then touched up the CA finish. I really don't like to see a margin between the wedge and scales so I spend a lot of time trying to make them seamless. CA works great for that.... once i figured out how to work with it....
BTW these are the first pin-less scales I've ever done. I'm not sure how well it will hold up. So far so good though...
This is the thread that started the whole tumbler thing I believe: http://straightrazorpalace.com/works...mentation.html
I've never used one, but I gather they are quite loud, maybe not suitable for apartments, maybe someone that owns one will chime in.
It may be possible to acoustically isolate one, set it on a rubber pad, inside a box etc... but I'm guessing the noise would transmit right through to your Landlord's place.

For a tumbler, I put it on the floor in my kitchen on a towel or rubber pad and I can't hear it anywhere else in the house, even the vibration. You can put multiple blades but I find it nicks the edges. It would be okay IMO if you put tape on the edges when using more blades.
