Default Chromium Oxide on Balsa wood...

    Hi, guys!

I get from ClassicShaving Chromium Oxide Compound green. I have a balsa wood also, but, problem is, I don't know how much quantitative I must put CroX on balsa wood to cover the surface? I don't want to dull blade.

    Thank you for answers!

    Hi Igor,

You only need a very small amount of the CrOx on the balsa for it to be effective. If you put on too much it can get a bit crusty, as well as dulling the blade pretty easily as you say.

Have a look at this Wiki article on pasting a strop as it takes you through the process and shows you how much paste to apply.

As I say, you really dont need much at all, just a very thin coating, for it to be effective.

Good luck and keep us posted!
