    Did you ever find a tool so cool you almost hated to share it?

    Spot Sanding Prep Pen

    This thing accomplishes little sanding tasks like you won't believe.
    Digs black junk out of pits.
    Cleans out the inside of stabilizers.
    Just try it in jimps.
    Especially effective on light pits along the spine.
    Cheap! Easy!
    Gets the little spots without tearing up the whole area.

    Don't get hung up on hanging hairs.

    Interesting indeed...good find!! Do you know what the equivalent grit size is (since it is glass fibers)?

    That's very cool. I wonder the longevity of the unit. It is cheap enough to buy a couple and keep one on hand. Esp as I know how harbor freight never has the tool a couple of years later when you need to replace it. What size batteries does it take? May be just cheaper to buy a new one than replace batteries.

    Manufacturer claims that there are over 20,000 glass fibers in the pen point. That doesn't help .. but Flitz took out the little scratches in left pretty nicely.

    no problem -- doesn't use batteries.

    Then couldn't someone attach a small piece of scotchbrite pad to the end of a pencil?

    I bet that this thing is tougher built at the tip than a piece of 000 SW glued to a pencil. IME, gluing SP or SW onto madrels, pens, etc. are almost more work than they're worth.

    Good call. Maybe more work than it is worth. Esp for $6.
