Okay, to clarify, you are modifying a blade... re-grinding is re-grinding i.e. changing the grind of the blade in terms of hollowing. Dremels are a fair tool for this, if you're in to altering blades-- which I have some concerns with as far as historicity is concerned-- but this is not a tool for re-grinding.

Thanked: 1936If you are looking to regrind on the cheap, go to Sears. In the section where buffers/grinders are you will find a wet grinding wheel. I have one and have used it making razors, so regrinding with it would be a good starting point. I got mine for around $50.00. The wheel is slow rpm & wet, thus no ruined temper. You could do this on your kitchen counter if the wife would allow it.
