    Default Buffing wheels

I just picked up an 8inch delta bench grinder. I also picked up some buffing wheels from harbor freight. They don't look to be as good quality as the ones in the restoration tutorial. I was wondering if you guys had a source or recommendation for buffing wheels?

I've only used the ones from Caswell. Other sources might be better but I've stuck with Caswell because they are the cheapest I have been able to find. If someone has a cheaper source, I'd certainly appreciate hearing what it is.

In my limited experience, I'll say that I don't see anything wrong with the Caswell wheels.

    I get mine from Caswell.
The greaseless is pretty standard stuff, the maker is Fromax and many online stores for buffing compounds sell it. There are others, but I am not familiar with their qualities.

Same here. Caswell. Price is right and the results are there so why look somewhere else. They usually always have everything in stock and ship pretty fast.

Don't mess with the "cheap" ones, it takes forever to get them close to right and aren't worth the time to get them round and dressed right...go with what they said above. I wish I would have! Even the Craftsman and Ryobi ones aren't all that great and take a bit of dressing to get right. Buy a wheel rake no matter what you buy.

The ones from HF are crap. You can buy some from Lowes that are better quality, but expensive.

Caswell is the best place I have found.
