Default a razor that angles towards the edge while closing

is there a way to fix this? I am thinking about trying to rip it apart and use a different set of scales or try to fix these. does this sound like the solution or is there a way to fix it by tapping on it somehow?

Do you mean that when you close it, it hits on one of the scales? What is the scale material? If it's warped slightly, there are ways to straighten it up. It may just need the pin tightened a bit, as Randy suggested.

Randy's got it. I also squeeze the scales while I do the tapping. The problem is that one side has warped a little, most often due to heat.

The other choices are to change scales or just be careful when you close it...
