    Default Never Dull

I did a search and did not find any information on this topic; so here it goes.

What are the circumstances of using Never Dull on your straight razor:

Would you recommend it for daily polishing? or when storing your razor for long periods of rest? or soley for use when restoring a razor?

Never Dull is cotton batting with a metal polish compound.

    Thoughts and ideas?

Nevr-Dull is good stuff. I had to use it in the Army and both my police academies (they didn't allow the liquids, and the pastes were way hard to find then). I'd use it anytime you get a stain on your blade. I prefer Maas over all other polishes, but the Nevr-Dull is fine, too. I don't recommend any polish every day...you don't need it if you'll wipe your blades down after shaving, and allow them to thoroughly dry (preferably open, out of the humid bathroom environment).

You don't need polishing compound if your razor is in good shape. Drying it well between uses is fine, and light mineral/camelia/sterol oil for storage. Use metal polish if your razor develops water stains, or when restoring...

Thanks to the SRP search I found this old thread on Nevr-Dull.
I've been using the stuff for 20 years now on rims and boat parts. Started using it on some of my restore razors and was surprised how well it lifts first stages of rust and water marks. It's polish is entrained in the cotton wadding somehow. A can lasts forever, and if you don't buff it off as soon as applied it leaves a slight protective finish on the blade that wipes off quiet easily next use.
Not the same creeping quality or cling as tuff oil, but a good addition to the toolbox if you happen to find some on the shelves.

I also use NevrDull for silver and aluminum as well. Good stuff. Funny, it smells same as Renwax.

You have some gangster mice if they can get the lid off a can of NevrDull. I even have trouble sometimes!

LoL,, totally a man with a can..
Hardest tin to get into when its stuck. Almost lost a nail a few times..
And it does look like mouse bedding, they'd have some shiny feet if they laid in it and would probably die in their sleep..peacefully,,

HA! I have bent some nails over on it for certain. Would not figure the meese would like the smell.
Man, if you think you have that Bakelite shiny? Rub it with NeverDull and let it dry to a chalky haze. Two-hand rub it with a soft towel. WOW!

Is it like brass or silvo? I am sure they are available as a liquid or as an impregnated wadding.
