    Default Some Wood Scales Fun

So I had one of my good buddies over at the house the other day and I was showing him how to make scales. I find that I always go to wood when teaching a new person and I am never disappointed. We were using Zebra Wood, Olive Wood, Bubinga, Wenge, Ebony, Purpleheart and a few others.

Thought you would like to see some early work here. Not perfect. Need a couple tweaks and wedge adjustments. These were just rubbed a couple times with Renaissance Wax and buffed. Now to find some blades to stick in these.

    Have fun,

    Lynn

No charge, just drop by......... Next week we are gonna work with some Tung Oil and G-10's. I think he is doing pretty good for out of the blocks.

I ought to take some pics of my workshop now that I have moved and got it going again.

    Have fun,

That's great work for a beginner!

I like the grip plates on your P238, btw. Does the slide match, or is it black?

I have some razors that need scaled. I will send them and you can just pretend I am there.

Hey Lynn - quit boggarting all the great old razors I see on your bench there!

Those are some mighty fine looking scales.

Thanks, it would be more of a vacation than a stop by since you are about 1050 miles away. But that is not beyond my craziness.

You do need pictures! Your shop is very nicely laid out for razor work... I have shop-space envy!
