    Default First attempt at scales......

Mahogany with a black walnut spacer and the too obvious hex nut fastners, waxed and buffed 5 times. Need to read more of our how to's and learn how to deal with peening that nut more as well as centering the blade perfectly. It does close properly however. But it was fun to try and get some insight into what some of you folks do perfectly on a daily basis......

Congrats on your first. I like the classic scale shape tho I've always found nuts n bolts a little "clunky" for razors

Is that a straight razor holder in the picture?

    Looks good to me.
Why doesn't the taco truck drive around the neighborhood selling tacos & margaritas???

Agree on the "clunky" fasteners. I'm sure they could be worked way down but am not sure if they would maintain integrity of strength. I'll go with regular pins when I do another.

Yes that is a straight razor holder. Very heavy piece of stainless from SRD if I remember correctly.
