Thanked: 1072Nice save on the blade there Oz, and a sweet job on the scales. Thanks for the bevel pics too, I love seeing stuff like that.

That is a handsome razor. The satin finish on the scales looks great.

I'll bet the owner loves it
Oni - it looks wonderful. The reshaping of the blade, I suspect, will be an improvement over the factory profile. One thing I've noticed is how nicely a very slight smile shaves. I have one old swayback with a pronounced smile. Though the length of the edge is reduced, there are precious few times one can use the whole length anyway. The smiles let me access contoured areas better, and the edge has to deteriorate pretty far before experiencing any pull. I'll be surprised if the owner doesn't just love that.

Grinders are good Szymon until you get one of those blades that shatter just at the look of one Not the case here luckily
Finished on my Asagi. All the other stones I had here that you saw have gone back to So but I had a lot of fun with them
And thanx to everyone for your comments especially Mick. Told you it was a good gambleThe white gleam of swords, not the black ink of books, clears doubts and uncertainties and bleak outlooks.

Thanx G. I'm sure you know it ain't easy especially with that Bengall steel. Almost makes me wanna buy a good belt grinder but I'd have to do a bunch of these to pay for it
