Thanked: 84What to do?
I recently got this razor in a lot off of the bay.
Someone ground the toe of it down, not really sure why, haha.
Anyway, can this razor be fixed up and shave again?
On the plus side, I don't really lose much for the price I paid,
just would lose a beautiful Filarmonica.
Sorry for the crappy phone picture.
If a better one is needed, let me know.

Thanked: 1262hmm.. My guess is this is a dremel special and they grinded out some chips.
You are going to need to fix that wavy edge before you start honing it.

Gee... I know that blade pretty well. And yes, you did get a good price.Hmmmm. Anyway, there was some major staining on the blade when I got it and I couldn't get it off. I resorted to light sanding with 600 grit greaseless. Problem is, the Filarmonica blades are ground so thin and there is nothing to shave. So I burnt right thru the heel. It has the be rounded out a bit and probably can still be used.
