What are my options with this razor
I bought this razor a little while ago. Sent it out to be honed and he told me the blade has a twist. UGH! What can i do with it?

I agree with Ben. Have it honed. Someone who offers to hone other people's blades ought to be able to hone a warped blade.

He Rene,
So...whoever you send it out to wouldn't hone it because it had a twist??!! I am no expert in honing or razor mechanics, but this would probably be the same problem I have with my Torrey frameback (it doesn't sit flat on the hone, which I imagine would happen with a twist)...but, Max showed me that although it can be a bit of a PITA, it should still be honable...beyond noob skills like me, but pros should be able to do this.

Thank you everone. This fourm has the best group of people. Mainaman was the first to offer to give it a go. I will send it out soon. I will keep everone up to date with it. Hopfully he will post on his findings.
It seem that most feel that it should still be able to get honed. I surly hope so. Its a mean looking blade.

Thanked: 1072I have a Geo. Wostenholm with a similar issue. The blade seems to have been ground at a slight angle in relation to the tang. I think it will hone OK though maybee just have a larger bevel on one side than the other...I hope.
