first go
I sent the blade of my first razor away plus 3 knife blades today for heat treating ,bet you can`t guess what I going to work on first when they return
It`s nothing fancy ,just a plain round point with a bit of file work above and below the shank for grip. I hope it dosn`t warp it is a very light blade
Anyway I will keep you posted on how it goes
I`m starting to get a handle on honeing now ,this part of the hobby has been a constant frustration to me since the word go spending days and getting no where I believe the reason was I was using the wrong grit size because I didn`t know what the were so after trawling back through the old files some light has been shed on the subject, anyway I finished two tonight both handle the hanging hair test ,no worries. (The only trouble is I havent much hair left on my legs and arms and am some what folicly challenged around the head reigon ,as we say here ,Bugger All)
Any way I will have another go tomorow and hope I have the same success
Kind regards Peter

That's great, be sure to post the pics as soon as you get it. It would be nice to see it in raw, prefinish phase too... Gluck,
