Thanked: 8Lynn Abrams Geneva 6/8 with mahogony scales
Hi All,
I have a fabulous 6/8 Geneva from Lynn which shaves like you would expect. The original scales were plain black, no markings etc.. so quite bland.
I made a set of mahogony scales with a slight difference. At the wedge end I made a brass "staple" so one side shows a bar, the other two ends. I also used double washers at the pivot to give a little more definition and chunkiness.
I'm very please with the outcome and really like the grain and richness of colour.

Gary,
Very nice scales. I like the staple idea too. It's great to see all these folks making their own scales these days.
