Thanked: 1Scale Material
I am quite new to this but have done some knife scales. Most of the scale material I have found is limited to 5 inch, including Masecraft. Where is the best place to get 6 in or longer pieces. I am interested in acrylics to start with then on to bone and horn once I get the nack of this. I love the translucent red and tortoise shell acrylic but all I have found on line is 5 inch. I am amazed at the talent on this forum. Any help is greatly appreciated.

Woodworkerssource and Rockler has wood.
Masecraft Supply has some of each, and also horn, bone and whatnot.
Alpha Knife Supply has G10 and Micarta, and also other materials.

The noted vendors are good, including Masecraft. If the material you like is not 6 inches, don't forget you can cut on the diagonal. Leaves some material for wedges.

Just email Mastercraft. They will custom cut the sheet stock if he has it. Most of the synthetics come in large sheets then they cut them down to size. They will cut a few longer if you ask nicely.
