Thanked: 11Cheapest Place to buy Pins and Wedges
I've made quite a few carbon fiber parts and I've been thinking about making carbon fiber scales as well. The only problem though is that I've been unable to find pins and wedges for cheap. Where would the cheapest place to buy pins and wedges, maybe 50 to a 100, be?
Thanks in advance!

Thanked: 1371At the bottom of this post is a section about sourcing materials: http://straightrazorpalace.com/179030-post1.html
You can get 1/16 brass or nickel rod at most hardware stores. I've found the stuff I buy locally needs to be annealed to be useful.
You can find washers at the microfasteners website, which is linked in the post I referenced above.
As for wedges, most people make their own.
Strange women lying in ponds distributing swords is no basis for a system of government.

Classic shaving has wedges
Straight Razor Maintenance & Repair Needs I think they have premade pins someplace there too.
But as noted above making then is a better way to go. I think they're OEM wedges for Dovo. They are narrow with a round tip, so may not fit a custom razor.
Above recommendation is great source. Also check wiki, good articles there how to make wedgesLast edited by dirtychrome; 12-29-2010 at 04:34 AM. Reason: Additional content
