    Default Otto Deutsch

Hi guys, I recently purchased a pretty nice hans. The blade is in great shape with just minor work to get it to mirror. This is my first resto. I do have experience with metal so working on the balde doesn't scare me. What kept me up last night was thinking of trying to get the decals off of the scales. I see the two on either side of the wedge look like they're held in place by the pins. The larger "otto" logo is the part I am stuck on. Do I ever so gently pry up on them to transfer to my new scales? Help please!

Are the original scales damaged beyond repair?

I would say yes they there is a crack near the tang on the front scale and a long crack on the other one running the lenght of the scale. With my in experience on this matter I could be completely wrong.
