    Default Abalone and Paua sheets for scales

    Does anyone know where i can buy Abalone and Paua sheets for scales? I would like to take a shot at making scales with these materials.

    masecraftsupply has them. Real veneer or acrylic layered LVS.

    +1 on Masecraft reply.

    Hint when using lvs:

    Don't place in vise to square up when drilling. May stress the the acrylic to where laminate bonds.

    Very disappointing having to start over if you get to final sanding and then have water intrusion, staining the shell.
