    Default removing rust from inlay

Hi everyone, finally got myself my first Clauss from eBay, not a problem with it so i consider it a score, just a few rust spots no pitting, nicks, chips etc. But some of the rust is right at the top right edge of the gold inlay on the blade, is there any tips to take that out without removing the inlay? i love the inlay on the blade and would love to keep it as much as possible but now all i see is the rust spot. I posted the pics on the "show and tell" but my camera stinks so a close up picture would just be too blurry to tell. You may be able to make it out in the first picture. But, again any tips are appreciated. Thanks again everyone.

Some metal polish on a q-tip might help in those precise areas.

You can also cover the inlay with good electrical tape. The kind that doesn't leave a residue that you'll have to clean off.

You could try electrolysis. Check out the links below and see what you think. It sounds like it won't remove the gold unless there is rust under it, but you should probably double check that.

A WARNING about using stainless steel electrodes.
The electrolysis process produces "Chromium" which is hazardous to your health and is illegal to dump on the ground.
Check it out by Googling "stainless steel electrode"

Another option is check out watch repair tool outfits. They sell small precise tools you can use to scrape rust from very small areas. Of course if the rust is actually on the gold there isn't much you can do about that.
