    Default Keeping my fingers.....

    Evening Razor-cureans,

I set aside some time this weekend and made several polishing jigs/razor holders that I'd like to share.

Here's my effort to keep my fingers intact and the razors blood free, while refining surfaces to a fine polish. Three sizes + lengths to accommodate most blades. Medium: Hemlock, cork, leather, nuts, bolts and grip tape. Also added skate tape to the bottom for grip/traction. These current designs work well to polish the spine/back, tang, and point.
Should provide good feedback (light in weight).

Would love suggestions to improve the design.

    Best,
    Prexpat.

So other than to protect the edge what good are the scales? couldn't we have cool wooden stands like the cool fixed blade razors?

I'll be honest...I don't know if I'd need or use a setup like that. BUT...the craftsmanship and beauty to those matches a new set of scales! Nice work!

I made these jigs/holders to assist 6-axis polishing. Gotta work out all those drag-lines.
But now that you mention it, stands would also be great.... hardwood stands!
    Thanks.
