Robert, you are a pimp. I had much less success with the horn I got from you. It's a pretty set of 3-pin scales that no blade will go into without hitting the side.

Thanked: 2Very nice. I've got a few identical blades that are waiting for resoration. Regarding Buffalo Horn, is it native or imported? I'm looking for buffalo horn in 1.5"x1.5" thickness, about 2-3" long. Any ideas?

Thanked: 324I might have just the thing for you.
I'll have to take dimensions, but I think I can get 1.5 x 1.5 x 3. I've got both native horn and imported horn.

Thanked: 2Really?
That would be great. I can find 1" rounds all day long, with some 1.25" rounds coming up now and again, but I can't seem to find 1.5" thick stock anywhere. It needs to be solid, so it can be turned for brushes, but small cracks are alright, as I'll send it out to be stabilized anyway. I'd really appreciate any info you can get for me. Thanks Robert.

Thanked: 324Not all horns will have a piece that size and you'll only ever get one piece from a horn, so it's not a surprise that you aren't finding it easily. I'll have to pull some horns do some cutting and see what can be obtained from them.
