Looks like you had lunch with Fred Flintstone! Don't forget - how many spacers and wedges can you get out of the ends?
Good luck with your project! Bone scales are nice.

Thanked: 7I don't think any area near the marrow will be usefull... but i could be wrong...
how are you planning on getting all the bacteria out of them?
Are you going to bleach the bones?
I heard that a strong hydrogen peroxide works well.

from the joints you might be able to cut some cool shapes that are natural from them.Last edited by BigBlue; 02-08-2011 at 06:05 PM. Reason: add more stuff after dots

The walls of these are up to 1/4" thick and maybe a little thicker in places. I plan on soaking them in bleach once i get them cut down. Ill have to see how the marrow has effected the inside of the bone.
good idea about the joints. Ill have to play around with it and see when i break out the saw.

Thanked: 7I think the joints, you could use a shorty blade like the one i'm suppost to cut to size but keep shattering.
Think about a 2 inch blade overall with the tang it would be like 3-4 inches long.... you could have a sweet little knuckler.....
oohhh i just named it......

Well i couldnt wait. I loaded one up and went down the road to use dads band saw. I got 2 usable pieces out of one bone. Ill soak them, dry them and sand them down a bit once they dry out. I think these may be usable.
and - the puppys loved the left over joints.
