Thanked: 94Cleaning Clear celluloid
My new project has clear celluloid scales that are a bit frosty and in need of a good cleaning.
I was thinking of giving them a bath in a mild acid (white vinegar) overnight.
Is that the way to go or is another path preferable?

Thanked: 94Thanks Phatman.
I used Nevr Dull and it was the bomb.
No pictures yet as I have a bit more cleanup work to do but the scales have gone from smoky to mostly clear.
Only problem is now that they're transparent again I see more jobs to do, like how on earth do I clean tarnish off the back of the silver bolsters ...
