    Default Regrinding?

Anyone know of a good economical place for regrinding a razor?

I've had a 13/16 w&b for a while now that had a lot of pitting up the sides of the wedge. I got impatient waiting for bill to finish his new cd, and decided to go ahead and sand it by hand. I thought I did a good job keeping everything even and equal but I guess not. When I started honing it the blade didn't sit right and you can see parts that should be touching the hone that are not.

I'm thinking that if I can save the money after my son's bday is over, I'll save enough to send it out and have it re-ground. It's a really nice looking blade and can be salvaged with a proper re-grind. This is what I get for being an idiot.

Any suggestions greatly appreciated. Don't kick me too hard for being an idiot. I just wanted to shave with the wedge.

They charge me 22.00 Per razor including honing(I think)I have had them do many razors, and they have always done an excellent job, beautiful finish, and great honing job.
They also have some new Filarmonica razors for sale at a great price.
He also does great work on the regrinds on the W&B Meatchoppers.
I think that Allen told me once that he had been working on razors for like 40 years,so he is very experienced .
    Best Regards Gary

It may not work but try and put 3-4 layers of thin stiff tape on the spine and see if the edge lays flat on the hone then . If it works it will increase your bevel angle a tad ,but just may save you some doe.
A word of warning ,I`m new to this game so you may wish to ask some one else`s opinion with a little more knowledge,as I would hate to think my ignorance was instramental in helping to stuff an other wise good razor, particularly a W&B
    Kind regards Peter

I agree with Gary, I have had a couple of W&B's reground by Ross Cutlery
and they did a great job. Actually I'm planning to send them a few more.

Since I already know the cause of the uneven wear (my poor sanding when trying to clean it up). I'll save up the money and send it out. It's been sitting in my to do box for months so a few more months won't hurt it. I'll just be sure to buff it with maas every month to keep it from tarnishing then when I get the free change I'll have it done right with a decent regrind.

    Thanks all.
