If you decide to do more than give them a quick polish: Absolutely keep the original scales for those razors. If you trash the scales, you'll regret it later on, once you learn more about what you have there.
It is quite a starter collection...

If you want to have them professionally restored: Click the classifieds button, then click member services to find people who do restorations. From there take a look at the work people do and decide who's work you like. Send some emails to see if the restorer is confident in doing an heirloom restore and retaining all of the original equipment.

Thanks again for the help and suggestions guys.

In the "Forums" section, under "Razors", there's a "Razor Clubs" section. There are a bunch of Filarmonica posts. I don't see anything for the Dubl Duck, but a "Search" through the Forums will give you lots of material.

Looks like I have some reading to do! It's a good thing I love to research stuff like this. I'm pretty excited about learning more about this whole straight razor thing and more specifically what I have here. The wife, on the other hand, is not so keen on another new, and potentially expensive, hobby.

I have definitely decided to have at least two of them profesionally restored. So it's time to start sending out some inquiries to the good folks who do this sort of thing.

    Thanks!

    Aaron
