    Default Washers in England?

Does anyone have a source for washers in the UK? I've been looking everywhere.

    MarkInLondon,

I get mine from MicroFasteners in the USA.

Are these for use in pinning ?

I could let you have some, if you would like to PM me.

    Have fun !

    Best regards

    Russ

Macc Model Engineer Supplies (www.maccmodels.co.uk) has been mentioned in previous threads. 10BA is the size that was recommended as being closest to 1/16th.

I've ordered a pack of washers to see how they stack up, but they're still winging their way to me.

    Default or..

You can take a short trip to your local bikeshop and as for DT-swiss brass shims. for building wheels. you use the between the spokes head and the flange of the hub to distrubute the pressure from the spoke. the inner diameter is 2 mm. a little less. probably 1.9 and the outer aprox 4 mm.. works really neat for me and you get like 300 for something like 6 £.
even if you use a thinner pin than 2 mm you will probably give the washer a smack with the old hammer to thin it out a bit and the you should have a perfect fit.

Has anyone received their washers yet? Do the 10BA washers fit a 1/16 brass rod?

I used one of this http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedi...aliperEuro.jpg, the washer was ok, the rod was way to big. I finely fixed it with some wet & dry
