    Default Stupid question #23 (polishing)

I use blue magic to polish my blades. When I polish the rag turns black or dark gray. My question is - If the blade is polished to the capabilities of the blue magic with the rag I use just stay blue from the polish or will I always have some black after im done?

It will always turn black. The reason is that just as sandpaper will continue to remove steel once the razor is as smooth as that particular grit can get it, the polishing compound will do the same.

I've never used blue magic, but I'd say that any metal polish that has any abrasive capacity to remove steel will continue to remove steel. Thus, you will always produce some black/gray residue on the cloth.

I love and use blue magic a lot. Yes, it does get messy and seems to stay black for a long time but after some elbow grease of hand rubbing it does produce some nice clean-up results.
