wedge problem
ok i bought a razor about a month ago and love it, probably one of my best shaver. but over the last month i dont know if the wedge grew or the blade grew because when i go to close the razor the tip of the blade (square point) catches on the wedge. what is the easiest way to fix this? i have never done any type of restoration so i dont really want to take it apart if its not necessary. thanks

Check to see if the wedge has twisted around the pin some. This could be what is causing it to hit where it didn't before.

let's see
A picture would be helpful. Is it a plastic wedge. or something else that might easily be filed away a bit? Is the wedge pin loose and letting the wedge swing around a little? Inquiring minds need to know...

filing
A narrow, flat diamond file works well. Be gentle. Take a look at the scales and see if they're starting to warp a bit.

Also pay attention to pivot pin. If the pivot hole is ovaled out, razor may close different at different times
