Thread: Anyone know where to get Sex nuts like Hart Razors?

I was doing a little window shopping-looking a razors I can't afford-when I looked at the pin on the hart razor. It looks like they are using a sex nut. I'm guessing its stainless. Does anyone know where to get these. I have a number of places to get #1 screws- but I haven’t seen anywhere with sex nuts

LOL....I was thinking this way too. For a split second, I almost asked outloud, "who is Hart Razor?"

I looked there but I can't find any mention of sex nuts (AKA barrel nuts or Chicago bolts)

The smallest i can find are 13/64.

I guess one could drill out the pivoit hole to 13/64, but I thought the Hart Razors might use 1/16 (I don't really know)

Aren't they hex? Torx is another option (however that's spelled....)

We have the nuts for the HartSteel razors custom made at a machine shop in Mid-Michigan. They are a few thousandths under 3/16. They are made of stainless stock.

On the barrel nuts...Ihave seen them quite a bit in brass with leather products, you may target your search to Tandy leatherworks or something the like.
