    We have plenty of kauri in NZ but it's only available as reclaimed. Kauri is protected in NZ so most is cut from the trunks and can be 20,000 yrs old or more. This is common though without much character. All kauri though has a special sheen to it.

    Fiddleback is from the base / root system and has more patterning.

    Green Kauri is same as above but has been dyed by natural tannins leeching into the soil from Manuka trees.

    Now that lools like an A+ shaver to me. A union of great possibilites meeting together to form an instrument capable of many outstanding shaves and as many contemplative moments of natural and artistic appreciation. This one moves to the head of the class.
