once upon a time many moons ago I started on my first restoration. so far I've gotten the blade as bright and shiney as I think i can without messing up the lettering on the flat of the blade and I've gotten the scales cut and drilled and sanded down with 600 grit.

now to the reason I'm posting here. I'm wondering if anyone has worked with polypearl and has some tips for getting a nice deep shine out of it, and if i should just go straight to the buffer or try 1000 and 2000 grit first like I did on the blade.
