I just finished some scales with CA, my first time, and used Turtle Wax rubbing compound as mentioned in the tutorial by gsixgun on this site. I followed it with a polish called Beyond Clay by Surf City Garage. Followed up with multiple coats of Ren Wax.
Someone mentioned re-using the lead wedge. I would go this route to keep as much of the original together as possible.
But whatever you do- I'm sure it will look good!

Very cool! Good to hear! Where did you get the rubbing compound and ren-wax? I've googled ren wax to know what the jar looks like but don't recall seeing it anywhere.

I followed gsixgun's tutorial to a T up to this last step and am tempted to try Flitz just because it's what I have and I'm so happy with how it worked on the blade.
