    Default Trapeziod

    Hi All,

I saw this on Ebay and was interested as my surname is Schmidt. Thought it might be nice to have a razor with my name on it .

    I noticed two things.
    A. The blade has a trapezoid shape to it.
    B. Noboby bid on it.

Are these 2 things related? I might imagine that it may be difficult/impossible to hone with a strange angle like that.

    Cheers,
    David.

Stick with things that are parallel. You'll have better luck. Only a few blades actually had a taper to them. Without a pic... don't know if yours is one of them.

Thanks Bill, I thought there might be a reason for it not being sold. Apart from the shape it was a nice looking razor.

Sounds like you know the shape I'm talking about but I though I thought I did attach a picture . Can you not see it?

    Cheers,
    David.

That blade scares me.... it not only looks uneven, but there is a slight wave in there as well if I am seeing it right.

You can buy a Revisor from John Crowley or on ebay.
Revisors are excellent razors and were made by Carl Friedrich Schmidt and usually have a C Friedrich Schmidt or a C F Schmidt stamped on the tang.
