    Default Adding jimping??

I have an old 19th century wedge without any jimping on the tang. It shaves beautifully, but wet fingers make for slippery go of things at times. Is there an easy way to gain a bit more purchase without permanently alternating the razor? Tape, wraps, etc. Thanks.

I guess you could do that.
A much easier trick I use on slippery tangs is to rub my fingers on an Alum block before gripping the razor.
It really ads to your grip, and as a bonus you'll find that you get better grip when stretching your skin as well.

    Dry your fingers.

The tang is hardened, so adding jimps is kind of out of the question. You could try some other ways, but it's real easy to ruin a razor or at least it's "look". I vibrating engraver will just jump around. Tape and wraps will trap water...don't want that. Go with the alum trick...

No reason for wet hands while shaving.
