Vlad's Green kauri scales..gobsmacked !
Hi All,
Well my Henckels Hammesfahr 5/8 squarepoint with gold etched blade arrived today from Vlad.
He fitted some green kauri scales, 3 pinned with his 3 pointed logo as butt washers. Vlad also made a brass etched logo and finished the whole thing of with a coating of crazy glue. A mirror finish.
Oh..brass wedge and brass tang stopper. The finish, matching of colours etc.. is well..mind blowing.
It shimmers like nothing I have ever seen, like a semi precious stone. It is understated and superb. A bit like a slim Patek Philippe watch, looks ordinary-ish but is almost priceless.
Vlad, you are amazing, many have sung your praises but until you actually have the privelige of owning one you can only imagine the beauty..then double it.
If Vald is still doing custom work..treat yourself.
I'll take pics and post them but I know I won't be able to do it justice.
One very impressed and happy chappy.
