    Default Acrylic scale material

Where can I buy acrylic material to make scales and wedges out of? I should also ask where to buy the brass rods and washers to pin the scales together? Any help would be appreciated thanks.

Or, look in the Yellow Pages under 'Plastics -- Distributors' .

Make sure they are 6 inches minimum, most all pen blanks are only 5 inches and a total waste of money... FYI you also have to be able to cut them...

Check locally with Sign Shops, they use Acrylics and the scrap is free or very cheap...
Google is your friend but you have to get on the phone and Beg to buy small sheets as a 4x8 FOOT sheet is damn expensive to ship If you do enough begging you can get 12x12x1/8 inch sheets sent to ya

I see you're in California, if you're in Southern California there is a place called S&W Plastics in the Pomona/Montclair area. I buy my plastics off their scrap rack. As for pins there are hobby shops not too far from there in Montclair (Pegasus Hobbies would be one) where you can find brass rod, they are in the train section. Although I had to go to microfasteners and order the washers online.

Yeah Im actually up in the Hesperia area but I have family down near there so Ill definitely have to try S&W out. That sounds like the best option for me.

What about the celluloid or acrylic material with the swirls and mixed colors? I am only finding single color or (too) small sized pieces in the links or at the knife making suppliers.
