Thanked: 114Thanks for the detailed response! What speed do you guys operate your buffers? Useful to know when shopping for a new machine. Thanks.

Thanked: 124Yes and no. You can get it to apply, but you need a speed controller on the dremel that can get you down really slow. The compound seems to last alright, but I've never tried to use it for a full restoration.
The bigger problem is the greaseless coat is relatively thick on a small wheel like a dremel, and that makes it stiff, more like a soft stone or maybe on of those cratex (sp?) rubber bits. This and the high speed of the dremel make wheels like this cut really deeply and effectively increase the grit rating. They're still better than a sanding drum or stone, though, those things just leave a mess.
