Thanked: 0Wavy edge repair
I dont have any pictures at present, but I hope to take some tonight.
I recently came into posession of a 7/8 square tip Bengall (hollow ground) blade. The scales on it were shot, so I'm making new ones, that part is not a concern.
I have noticed the the edge is wavy, kind of like a double frown. It isnt significant, but it's there, and I dont like it!
with these kinds of repairs, is it likely it will be possible to fix on the bevel setting stone, with carefull strokes, or am I likely to need to breadknife? I want to avoid breadknifing if I can, but will if I have to.
At it's most sever point, there would be approximately 1 - 2mm of variance from straight.
I will try and get some pictures up tonight, but would appreciate any feedback or advice!
