    Default Wavy edge repair

I dont have any pictures at present, but I hope to take some tonight.

I recently came into posession of a 7/8 square tip Bengall (hollow ground) blade. The scales on it were shot, so I'm making new ones, that part is not a concern.

I have noticed the the edge is wavy, kind of like a double frown. It isnt significant, but it's there, and I dont like it!

with these kinds of repairs, is it likely it will be possible to fix on the bevel setting stone, with carefull strokes, or am I likely to need to breadknife? I want to avoid breadknifing if I can, but will if I have to.

At it's most sever point, there would be approximately 1 - 2mm of variance from straight.

I will try and get some pictures up tonight, but would appreciate any feedback or advice!

Please do NOT breadknife the blade.
Most wavy edges can be honed out fairly easily, however, you do need some honing experience to do it.
Send to an experienced honer, pay a few dollars and be assured of a good edge when you get it back.

Send it to a pro,do not over think this and try to fix the problem yourself.you will only make it worse.
