Thanked: 114Rotary Tool Supplies
Where’s the best/cheapest place to buy quality rotary tool supplies (buffing wheels, etc.)? Local hardware stores generally carry Dremel brand accessories, which can be expensive. Thanks

FindingKing.com is good. Lots of stuff there. Regarding buffing wheels, I like the felt buffing wheels with mandrel.
here's a search there for buffing wheels.
Amazon has a smaller selection also, more money, but might be able to work free shipping if reach order min or have PrimeLast edited by dirtychrome; 05-10-2011 at 11:01 PM.

Do you have a flea market nearby? Everytime I go to one I see a "tool" tent where some guy has box after box of dremel-type suplies. I usually pay a buck or two for each piece.

My local Ace is in Kuwait City, and I drive there from Saudi Arabia for shopping, a Chili's meal and getting to look at water just sitting around in the open air. Ace quality is usually very good on most things, including polishing compounds, but I find their 1/2" diameter sanding sleeves tend to fly apart at Dremel speeds.

I had a curious experience with FindingKing some time back. His third party checkout wouldn't send anything (apparently) to Saudi Arabia, although it was listed as a worldwide auction and I had done plenty of business with him before he took to using it. His "solution" was to say that two jewellery engravers (five inches of 1/16 square steel rod) were banned from mailing to Saudi Arabia, because they were weapons! It sounds laughable, but it stalled an important project for quite a while.
You would think, then, I would have trouble with razors, but I don't. Of course it isn't like they are weapons. I also bought some items from Jantz Supply without a customs incident, although it included a very good boning knife blade. The mail clerk in my employer's office called me up and said "Mr. John, I have a boner for you." My colleagues were vastly amused for some reason. I can't think why.
